Yesterday we began our poetry unit! We were excited to learn about haikus! Haikus are three lined poems with 5 syllables in the first line, 7 syllables in the second, and 5 syllables in the third line. We even got a chance to write out own haikus! Here are some of the poems that students wanted to share:

Cheetahs, fast cheetahs
Big cheetahs that are pretty!
Fur has cute designs
