Informational Unit

In Writer's Workshop, we are learning about how to write an informational text.  The type of text we are writing is called an "All About" book where students are the "expert" on a topic and write at least three subtopics about it.  Later, we will be going to learn about how to incorporate research into the "All About" books to make our writing stronger! We are so excited to get started!

After generating our ideas, the first step in the drafting process is to think about how to write an introduction (to let readers know what you'll be writing about).  If you click on the link below, it will take you to a short video that explains how to hook your reader using a question in your introduction.
