In continuation of our poetry unit, we have learned about Limericks. They are fun five lined poems that are centered around a person (or animal). It follows the AABBA rhyme format. Have a look at some of room 13's amazing poems!
"The Dog Biting Hog"
There was a very large hog,
who bit a large sized dog.
The dog was in pain,
he walked toward a lane,
deep into the misty fog.

The once was a dog and a cat
she forces the dog to give her a pat
The dog doesn't like her
although he likes her fur
so the dog hid under a hat.

they did not like that a lot

he had some money
